More than half of the local government units (LGU) in the Province of Cebu are now Covid-free.
Additionally, only 50 active cases remain throughout the Province - 36 are isolated in quarantine facilities and 14 are in the hospitals.
On December 28, the Provincial Health Office (PHO) reported that there are no active cases in 32 towns and two component cities out of the 50 LGUs since Sunday, December 27.
These LGUs include Bogo City, Carcar City, Alcoy, Alegria, Aloguinsan, Asturias, Bantayan, Barili, Boljoon, Borbon, Carmen, Catmon, Compostela, Daanbantayan, Dumanjug, Ginatilan, Dalaguete, Ginatilan, Madridejos, Malabuyoc, Medellin, Moalboal, Oslob, Pilar, Poro, Samboan, San Fernando, San Francisco, Santa Fe, Santander, Sogod, Tabogon, Tabuelan, and Tudela.
The Province’s recovery rate is now at 93.4 percent with a total of 6,495 recoveries out of the 6,957 confirmed cases since the 2019 Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19) hit the country.
